Oriana Altuve, goal and character for VCF Femenino
Valencia CF Femenino and Oriana Altuve have reached an agreement which will see the striker defend the Valencia CF badge until the 30th of June 2022.
The 28-year-old striker was born in Caracas (Venezuela) on October 3rd 1992. She joins from Real Betis Balompié where she spent one season the 2020-21 campaign.
Oriana Altuve is synonymous with goals. The striker stands out for her aerial prowess, work-rate and constant commitment which make her a real handful for opposition defences.
The Venezuelan made her professional debut at 17 years of age in the Caracas FC shirt with whom she was crowned Liga Nacional de Fútbol Femenino winner for four years in a row. 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.
Later on, she packed her bags Uruguay bound where she played in the FC Colón colours. She went on to win the Uruguayan championship in 2016 and she became the Copa Libertadores top scorer that same year. From Uruguay, she moved over to Colombia to play for Independiente Santa Fe and she became Liga Águila winner in 2017 and repeated the feat of being top scorer in the Copa Libertadores for the second year running.
She moved over from across the pond from South American football to Spanish football back in the summer of 2018 when she joined the Rayo Vallecano ranks and played in the Rayo strip for two seasons with 28 appearances and 10 goals to her name. The second footballing campaign came to a halt due to the COVID-19 outbreak. At the time the competition was brought to a standstill she was the fourth highest goalscorer on 13 goals.
